About me

I am Vivek Rai. I am a scriptwriter and an independent filmmaker. I have studied script writing at FTII, Pune and Direction from AAFT. I am proficient in professional Editing (FCP X) and camera handling. I also have a working knowledge of post-production techniques.

Prior to this, I was an Engineer, employed in IT. I have 6 years of experience, which makes me extremely comfortable with technology, collaborating with people and delivering work on deadline.

Presently, I am developing a web-series for an independednt production house in Mumbai. I also have two web-series bibles ready to be pitched. It contains concept note with a logline, the broad story for 13 episodes, the detailed story for the first four episodes and a screenplay for the pilot episode.

I have just come out with my latest, feature-length documentary. It addresses shortfalls and challenges of an Indian startup ecosystem. It’s being submitted to various film festivals. You can watch the trailer in my gallery section.
