Aiban Nangsan Lyngdoh, better known as Ace Shorty, started rapping at the age of 11 along with his brother's friend who introduced him about rhyming and flows. In his initial stage, he was a battle rapper by the age of 13, trying to learn the art of writing and competition amongst fellow rappers. By the age of 15, he began making music as a hobby with a trio local rap group along with two homeboys from his block, in which after few years of self-buildout, he began to understand the meaning of being an artist and what is like to pursue music professionally.

Some of his first influences were Tupac Shakur, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Eminem, Nelly, Ludacris and Fabolous.

He is known for his versatility, creativity and witty-styles in his rap performances.

He has done various acts and performances in and out of his hometown, working with different artists and producers from different region and still continues his musical hobby despite his education barriers and difficult circumstances. The fact of being raised from a region where there are many talented artists, musicians, etc. and barely few platforms to exposed, he unite a few of these talented young artists, dancers and producers as a team during the mid of 2013 where they began to officially known as Black Rag Squad, sharing their same tastes, same hearts, same passion and same dreams in the world of entertainment.

Currently, he is working on his mixtape “Forever Young” .
