I have been an established actor in Kolkata for over twenty years. My acting career started with Theatre. I have done extensive workshops and theatre productions with Pandit Satyadev Dubey, Shyamanand Jalan also with directors like Rodney Mariott besides having done an acting course in Ravindra Bharati University. Since I was a single parent I also regularly started doing Bengali serials besides doing a couple of films . Some significant works being 'Sukno lonka', ' Handa Bhoda' ( both in main characters opposite Mithun Chakraborty , 'Loveria'. I also did significant characters in some Bollywood projects like, ' Bose, the
forgotten hero' ( Shyam Benegal') Bose, dead or alive' ( Alt Balaji ) 'Mrs Undercover' where I played the chief minister, 'Bad boy' ( Rajkumar Santoshi) where I play the heroine's mother. These are a few significant works besides many others. I have recently ( since 6 months) shifted to Mumbai because I felt a stagnancy regarding work and also have a deep urge to work in my mother tongue, Hindi.
I am a graduate in fine arts ( painting ) from Viswa Bharati Kala Bhavan , Santiniketan. My hobbies are writing ,singing ,painting , travelling and my passion is acting. Thanks
