It is during the infant days when Sudeep used to respond to rhythms & songs that his potentials of singing was discovered by his mother. At the age of 5, Sudeep’s initiation in music was mainly through his mother who taught him the basics. In his teenage years, he participated in several music competitions and won them all. Sudeep belongs to the foremost torchbearer traditional Patiala Gharana of gayaki. Considered to be an offshoot of the Delhi Gharana, Patiala Gharana is one of the most eminent gharanas of vocal music. A real globe trotter Sudeep created a ripple amongst the contemporary musicians and audience with his extraordinary depth and tunefulness, a rare tonal quality. The music in the form of modern songs, traditional compositions, raga, rhythmic variations are the basic characteristics of his performances.
