Avinash Mishra

Avinash Mishra is a dynamic and multifaceted artist with a diverse career spanning acting, writing, and directing. Since beginning his journey as an assistant director on a short film with FTII professionals in 2009, Avinash has established a strong presence in the industry.

As an actor, Avinash has delivered compelling performances, notably in the short film The Blogger, where he starred as the lead and also wrote the film’s dialogues. His ability to seamlessly blend acting with writing showcases his versatility and depth.

In addition to acting, Avinash wrote, directed, and acted in the psychological drama and suspense thriller They, which featured Jigar Goswami alongside himself. He also wrote the screenplay for the film, demonstrating his talent for both on-screen presence and behind-the-scenes creativity. His work as a writer and director on They further reflects his broad range of skills and artistic vision.

A highlight of Avinash’s theatrical achievements is his adaptation of the Nobel Prize-winning cult classic Betrayal by Harold Pinter. Staged for the first time ever in India, Avinash’s adaptation, which featured Deeksha Joshi and Pratik Rathod, transformed the 1978 play into a contemporary backdrop of 2018. The play’s full house success on BookMyShow during the 2017-18 season underscores Avinash’s ability to breathe new life into classic works while engaging contemporary audiences.
