Billie dreams of being a pirate and is obsessed with all things nautical. Every day she sneaks out of the seaside cottage where she lives with her dad, Tim, to play on the beach. Worried for her safety, Tim tries to deter her, but Billie disobeys him and makes an exciting discovery when she finds a message in a bottle washed up by the waves.

The Original

In The Original we focus on Alana, a woman whose partner, Gwendolyn, is in the final stages of locked-in syndrome. They are offered a chance to regain the life they thought they had lost through a procedure that will transfer Gwendolyn's consciousness into a healthy clone. Although the procedure appears to be a success at the outset, Alana is soon informed that the original Gwendolyn has unexpectedly awoken. Alana is forced to make an impossible choice: abandon the original Gwendolyn and carry the secret into her new life, or sacrifice her potential happiness with the healthy clone Gwendolyn.
