Agalliasis Ryntathiang

My name is Agalliasis Ryntathiang also known as Gail. I am from the Northeast part of India which is called Shillong, Meghalaya. I am a singer songwriter and I come from a family background who is Rich in Music & Art following the footsteps of my dearest grand uncles from Shillong. Mr. Rana Kharkongor and Mr. Headingson Ryntathiang. My Uncle Mr. Amin Kharkongor plays the saxophone and my father Mr. Dasu Kharkongor is a gospel drummer and he sings as well. I have been singing since I learned how to talk. I also took part in activities & competitions in schools and colleges. It was when I started my degree that I decided to take up gigs in restaurants, cafes and private shows. That was when I realised I needed to take my talent further and work hard. Looking at my family background I noticed that most of my cousins also have what it takes. I started taking up auditions for small competitions starting from my hometown when I had joined the Northeast Highway Star, Voice Hunt - 2012. I reached the finals but unfortunately lost to my friend who had the maximum number of votes. Shortly after, I got the chance to perform in many shows like weddings, radios, festivals happening around Meghalaya and have been able to get shows even outside Shillong. I also finished my upgradation from the All India Radio, Shillong where I scored a B - Grade. So as a graded artist I wanted to focus on what more I can do apart from just being graded. I had gone for India's Got Talent with the the group The Pine Ballads from Shillong in 2014. Being a western solo artist that didn't work out for me. It was in 2017 that I decided to come to Bangalore as I have heard that music is happening here and we get lots of opportunities too. Another reason as to why I decided Bangalore was because I wanted to try the singing competition again which is called The Stage which? happens in Mumbai. The first time I tried was at the same time my cousin Jameer Kharkongor have been on which was the season 2. This was the time I was in Shillong in 2016. Due to financial crisis I had to cancel the travel to Mumbai which I had made it to the live shows. So, the following year I came to Bangalore and tried for the second time. I had made it to the 2nd round auditions but unfortunately,? I did not make it for Mumbai. I slowly got the chance to meet musicians who helped me in getting singing contracts in hotels. I have had the chance to teach at Chrysallis High, Kadugodi as a vocal coach. I have a manager as well (Shane Ricardo Augustus) that handles most of my gigs. After 1 year and a half of being here, I had gone to Goa because I wanted to travel and meet different musicians and for my publicity. I did make a name there singing in shacks and restaurants. I was living in Goa for 7 months and when the season ended I had to come back to Bangalore and then I joined the singing contracts again inclusive of private gigs. Apart from all my gigs and private shows I write songs and collaborate with other artistes. I have had the chance to record some of them and currently working on my originals. Music is my first love and singing is my life. It is of course the most important job to me and that I know I'm mostly good at. I take it seriously and have worked very hard to get where I am today not forgetting that I still have a lot to do to get to the top.
