Shalini Ray

My name is Shalini Ray. I graduated from Srishti Institute of Design and Technology with a Bachelor’s in Filmmaking in the year of 2020. In my four years of college I’ve done various film related freelance work. Most of my responsibilities have been in the fields of scriptwriting and creative direction. In the past year, I worked at Advids as a scriptwriter and a creative director being deeply involved with multiple projects and being able to adeptly carry out briefs, edit multiple storyboards and videos. As a creative director I was to oversee the entire process of video making.

I have always been fascinated by stories. As an aspiring filmmaker and an artist, I use various mediums to put forth these stories. Stories of individuals, of circumstances, of fantastical scenarios and everything else in the middle. My work is split into five parts, film-making, writing, animation scripting, photography and illustrations. I like working with the experimental and the absurd as well.

I’m well versed in Adobe Premiere Pro as well as Audition and After Effects. I am confident in my skills, whilst being an eager learner, quick to recover from any mistakes. I try to overcome any creative obstacles in my way, with enthusiasm. Throughout my college I’ve gone through various advanced courses on filmmaking. Being able to edit and review film or moving image actively is something I’ve worked on intensively as well.
