1. INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY (GENDER OF THE CHILD) We see SUSHMITA with her husband ANKIT (33) in their living room. Ankit is holding a newborn baby in his hands. ANKIT (happily) Hum isey baahar padhne bhejenge. Aur phir agar isko job nahi karni hui toh tab tak main iske business setup ke liye save kar hi loonga. Isko hi toh humaare khandaan ka naam aage le jaana hai. Aur iske dada dadi ki bhi mannat poori ho hi gayi. SUSHMITA Pehle naam decide kar le? ANKIT Aditi. Aditi achha hai na? Both of them look at the baby and smile. 3. INT. BEDROOM - DAY (STIGMA AROUND MENSTRUATION) Sushmita’s daughter ANANYA (12) exits the bathroom of her room and rushes out. We see a red spot of blood on her bed. ANANYA Mummy? Mummy! Ankit is about to leave for work as Ananya comes into his room. ANKIT Mummy abhi nikli office ke liye, kya hua? ANANYA (a bit anxious) Papa woh.. bed par blood..pata nahi kaise. Ankit pauses for a moment as Ananya gets awkward. ANKIT Oh..koi baat nahi, it’s just your period. Wo school mein padhaaya tha na. Relax karo. Mummy ke cupboard mein pad hoga. Ankit opens the cupboard and gives a pad to Ananya. Ananya looks a bit relieved.
